I have to say I love the Png Pong going on in Hougang. Leaked minutes sent by someone called Secret Squirrel! Accusations and counter-accusations. Misspoken words over a ballot or voting slip. One would have thought some really bad, traitorous deed against the nation has been uncovered. Sigh. But this is not a movie but whether someone lied about wanting or not wanting to be NCMP. Much ado about nothing? Or should some weight should be put on Teo Chee Hean’s claim that Png has no integrity. I pity Png. The man probably tried to fudge his way out of the question of why the WP didn’t put him up as NCMP. But you know something? Low Thia Kiang seems to making a clean breast of it. The minutes were real. The NCMP post decided by vote – regardless of personal inclination. He’s trying to hold the line; just as he did with his adamant silence on Yaw Shin Leong’s peccadilloes. Laudable. But it only indicates some profound disaffection within the WP ranks. The next instalment of the movie when the Png Pong is over should be a purge.

I’ve said it once, and I’ve said it many times. Folks like LTK and even our MM are cut from the same cloth, ie, insatiable need to be in control of everything. Those who think LTK is some mythical Robin Hood who can rescue democracy for the people are sorely delusional. If ever the day WP comes into power, you’ll bet he’ll act the same way which the PAP acts like now. And I hope I won’t be around that day to see it!

    1. If you don’t have LTK who can challenge LKY as what you mentioned ‘cut from the same cloth’ and started the inroad into parliament for others to follow, when then will be the day you envision will arrive, forever hoping ? Your guess will be as good as mine, LTK will be an old man or even not around when or if that day comes. Remember we are building the road for the next and future generation leaders. Not about LKY or LTK.
